WELCOME EVERYONE

LETICIA

My name is Leticia Torrecilla Lafita. I was born in Huesca. I am a happy person and although I was very pessimistic, as I have grown, I have improved my attitude thanks to physical activity, social relationships. Regarding my education, it has always been very pleasant and in general I have never had difficulties.

Teaching others and passing on knowledge is a weapon that can sometimes be very dangerous. Knowing how to choose when and how much information to transmit to others is something that I like and scares me at the same time. When you are a child and you go to school you know that what they tell you is true, and whether you like it or not you should learn it for an evaluation. The fact of being able to choose how these children, in this case students, are going to digest this data is a privilege that for many does not mean anything, but for someone who wants to be a teacher can see it as a way to change the mentality of the rest. When talking about mentality in a single person, it can be seen as a small change but when adding all those minds we can create a great generation and a great change in people. In short, the motivation is to try to change the system within the freedom that the curriculum allows.

The profession of teacher is something that I have always liked. The spontaneity of children, their transparency, their criteria, their desire to learn and their interest is something that fills you as a person and makes you feel very grateful. During primary and secondary school, I did not like English. I saw it as an obligation, and I thought that I was bad for what the interest I showed towards him was null. As the years went by and I saw that the application of the language in real life was useful, I began to practice it more. I like to see how I am able to communicate with people who do not speak my L1 and we understand each other. For me, learning an L2 implies communication and union with the rest of the people as well as infinite learning.

DAVID

Hi, my name is David, I'm 21 years old. I was born in Zaragoza, but actually I'm living in Jaca and Im  studying in Huesca, so I can consider myself as a very adventurous boy. My friends say I'm a very socialize person, that's because I like to talk with a lot of unknown people, just to know what's their story. I have always been a very good students, I was always studying, and trying to help my classmates in everything i could.

To be a teacher has always motivated me. My primary and secondary teachers always told me to study to become a teacher, because they said they see on me some good qualities to be a fantastic primary teacher. These qualities were the patients, the energy, being curious all time, and finally be emphatic and be attended to the people who were around me. In addition, what I think what really motivate to educate children, is to make them smile and be happy. This could sound you familiar, however this is the fuel which makes me moving forward to search for new materials, new methodologies or new strategies.

Finally, the reason I'm writing everything in English, It's because, I'm studying to become a teacher, but no a simple one, an English teacher. After 4 years at the university, I have chosen the modality of English. For me, every student should have the opportunity to learn the English language, as an L2, because we are living in a globalized world, and English is the main language, not only for communicate, but also to think.

SAMUEL

Hello everyone! My name is Samuel, and I'm 22 years old. I was born in Huesca, where I have been living my entire life. When I was little, I used to be very annoying when I was little, but with the years I have became more mature, depending on the circumstances. My family and friends told me I had improved a lot since then, so I feel proud about that. I'm a person you can always trust on!

And why I want to be a teacher? Apart from being something I have been thinking to be since I was in elementary, I decided to be a teacher because I want for my students to be mature people and develop themselves in their own environments. It's very hard to meet an environment which is improving in language diversity only with the help of parents, let alone without knowing more languages apart from L1. And since English is one of the most spoken L2 languages in our country, I have decided to be an English teacher. I'm aware you need to have a lot of experience and to know your always changing environment, but that's the reason why I'm studying and learning everyday new knowledge!

Finally, the reason why I have decided to be an English teacher is not only because I want my students to keep meeting what is around them, but also because it offers a lot of multiculturalism. Like I said before, English is one of the most spoken languages not only in our country, but also in a lot of them. I love to travel, so maybe I teach English on schools from other countries, such as the UK. We always need to know that having skills in only one language doesn't let you to communicate as much as if you have learnt skills in two or more languages.
